2018 state of mind

It’s 2018 what a time to be alive...
First day of the first month of the new year, smile you made it through 2017 it didn’t break you it only made you a better person for what it’s worth. It’s a new season. Breath deeply and get ready for a heavy change. Cos that’s the most constant thing in life.
Here are a few pointers into the right direction for the new year.
No space for going around in circles it’s a new year.

A lot of us start the new year with thoughts of a new year resolution, a new year should come with some new things, but isn’t it better to focus on a NEW YOU’s RESOLUTION. Begin the year with a new personality, new spark, new ginger, new hunger for more, new state of mind. Have it behind your mind that you are the ruler of your own world. Like a room you sleep in you have the power to change the set up, the cleanliness and all the ambience. Same goes for your life. You can get rid of old clothes, old beliefs, old notions that didn’t work for you in 2017, emphasis on “material things” and “thought patterns” not people. We will get there in a minute.

Removing items and ideas that didn’t work for you or were useless in the year 2017 is a great way to start.  Put them on the side line and watch you move with better speeds after shedding dead weight.

Simply walk away from all the bad ideas, bad habits, bad attitudes and bad thought patterns you had in 2017, no one is a better judge of what was good or bad for you.

Secondly, a lot of us begin the year with the notion of “blame” we look back at 2017 and blame all the bad things that happened to us on the people we moved with in 2017 and then saying we want to delete certain contacts, or stop rolling with certain people or family that were useless, those are lies, shifting blames on anyone else but you for mistakes you made are irresponsible and self deceitful. Have you ever thought to yourself that if your friends are responsible for who you are then why bear your name? Why don’t you bear the names of your friends.  Don’t you believe that you are the MASTER of your own destiny, the leader of your own SELF CLAN. No one has a right or power to steer your life into a particular direction unless you give them the steering and rudder to direct your life.

Become that contact no one can afford to lose, become that busienss partner that is sought for, become that individual that everyone refers to only for good things, the one that people emulate, be the example your friends learn from, be that 1 eyed king in the land of the blind. This begins with loving yourself first realizing that you cannot love anyone else if you don’t love yourself first. Know that you alone deserves the best respect from SELF. When you begin to think this way you set yourself up for SELF CONTROL. Trust me when you are able to control your own world and your own person this is the first key to the control of the world.

Remember that leadership isn’t all about being at the top. Leadership can happen from any point. As long as you are in the midst of the world you have a role to play  in leadership. Start with you!!!!

Thirdly, lastly and not least is the question of VALUE. Are you one of those people that say 1 billion fall on me in 2018 without a 1 billion naira master plan! Are you the baba ijebu player or naira bet investor? Are you a slay mama and slay queen waiting for your sugar daddy to fall from heaven and buy you a house in banana island or plantain Avenue?
Well ask yourself that how did that play out for you in 2017? I don’t care how it must have went as long as you came to this year without anything tangible all those notions belong in the dustbin. The only notions you should keep up and add more fuel to is the ideas of creation and generation and productivity. That business idea, that catering business, the fashion blog and marketing idea, the partnership with some suppliers that will bring your products you can sell and be an ambassador for, or that job you have been doing exams for, as long as it is positive and productive add more fuel to the fire and if you haven’t started today is such a a perfect day to begin.

2018 in reality, in fact is a year of harder work, a year of winning, a year of sacrifice a  year of fighting to win a year of perseverance and finally the best year YET’ keep it in mind that challenges will come, there will be sharp corners, there will be tough times, the question is  are you courageous ? Are you sharp? And are you tough? These are the things to prepare for...as much as you do these you are sure to have an amazing 2018. Above all, prayer, it cannot be over emphasized. God is the master and determined of all our affairs, start with him and you will never regret.

Thanks and God bless for giving us a little of your time to read our blog.

MMM from the MLM view.

Everybody and their mother must know very well about the latest Money Making Machine in town where you don't even have to break a single sweat and you can make a whooping 40% profit from any amount above 20big ones in investment.
No, this is not an advertisement or an enrolment motivational speech, this is actually my own 2 cents on the latest Nigerian money making game as a Networker, multi-level marketing entrepreneur and financial market aficionado, In every business model 2 things are vital : Buying & Selling. Products, services, talents, information etc are exchanged for money or the likes. In network marketing, the unique and distinguishing factor is cutting out the middle man and advertising so as to reward the consumer for using "word of mouth" to spread the "gospel" thereby making "sales".
MMM is not MLM simply because it has no product or service, it has no reward system, there is no value created, there is also no security for "investors" or "investments". It is simply a well played out system where peter is convinced to pay Paul for nothing in the hope that James will pay Peter in a month and on and on.
Here are the heavy side effects of such an arrangement.
1) People get easily addicted to "awoof". There is a pheaning effect where the addict becomes hooked and can't seem to get enough of the "rush". Suddenly, he sees MMM as a means to an end and sees other forms of legit labour to make value driven earnings simply a waste of time and energy, after all, MMM just needs me to put money and I get more in 2weeks. Why work?
2) MMM is hopelessly insecure. In order to get help, you must give help, and unfortunately, the comfirmatory system is solely reliant on an unsecure web portal that has no physical office in existence anywhere in Nigeria. So if one were to pay monies into an account after he or she was disqualified without prior notice, there would be no way to be reconciled.
3) MMM has no license hence isn't backed by law: MLM companies have licensing, has the law backing them up and also are scrutinised by government for any irregularities or malpractices.
MMM is basically an app, as a matter of fact, an app would be better. MMM is a web page that BOLDY has it written in the terms and conditions to have the right to be offline at any moment without notice. Dig that.
4) MMM is a BIG TRAP set to catch the RATS in the RATRACE. From the inception of MMM, it would shock you to see that those that are fully involved are actually those that should know better. Bankers, Insurance brokers, Teachers, Lawyers, Accountants and everyone in model career fields are involved,  making it one of the biggest potential traps of all time in Nigeria where the moment the cheese is eaten to the right weight, the trap will spring and catch every unfortunate soul in its wake.
5) MMM thrives on the crowd momentum effect. More than 1 in every 10 "educated" Nigerian is fully involved in MMM. And going by the  Nigerian lifestyle, everyone wants to outdo the other, so what you have is people drawing out their life's savings, some sell their cars, some pull out their inheritance money, some even borrow from unsuspecting lenders and invest into MMM believing that "I no fit carry last" This feeds the belly of the money making machine called MMM and when it is full, it would close its mouth.
No disrespect to anyone cashing out, matter of fact, no one would blame you in this recession. But the best advice would be to research more, discover more and never test the depth of the river with both feet.

Brand new vs Pre-owned iPhones

September is far gone Its November and apple has finally brought out something awesome, apple lovers are thirsty for the tech of the century and old iPhone owners are sort of mad at the whole frenzy simply because its another hunt for cash.

Regardless of what end users feel, the market is always buzzing, there are those who buy brand new outrightly and then there are those that simply buy off from those that sell their old ones. Its like the ecosystem, there would never be a vacuum or a waste.

Here is our opinion at #AbsoleTechBlog about all this frenzy. We call it a frenzy simply because its a heavy fiest fast and very rapid sales and buzz. Buying a used item, computer, phone or gadget could seem like a smart deal but is it?
Price, cost, quality and longevity come into question but eventually the winner always is who feels he gets the best deal. So it begs the question , "who gets the best deal?" Used items always and always comes with an issue in the back ground, there is a blidn spot the second hand buyer fails to probe, which is - "why did the previous owner decide to sell?" Research has shown that 9 out of 10 times a customer uses a product he or she has full satisfaction with until all satisfaction juice is completely sucked up...don't ask us where we got this from, but its a known fact.

Even deals that seem to be made simply because the former owner needs money usually end up to be a case of the new owner paying more for less. I mean there are perks with buying a new product - warranty, optimum quality, full accessories, peak performance as well as a bunch of other perks the brand new owner gets as value for money. Above all is the peace of mind.
Buying a preowned products could bring more demons than angels, there are issues of lack of original accesories, hidden problems where the person has to "manage" as well as the issue of history. You never know where the product has been or where its from as opposed to a brand new device where you know its from the manufacturer straight to the distributor and then off course you.

Hidden Android tips that would blow your mind.

Most of the time people find themselves investing so much in a device and not even benefiting as much as fifty percent of the total package. They just make phone calls, send text messages, take a couple of pictures and perhaps, every once in a while send emails. There are so many tricks and tips you re about to get upon reading this article, brace yourselves, its going to be a jolly good ride.

1. TURN OFF DATA USAGE.
Whenever you don’t need to stay connected, disabling the Mobile Data can help keep your smartphone battery from draining too quickly. Turning off mobile data is as easy as:
  1. Going to Settings > Data Usage.
  2. Disable Mobile data by toggling the setting from ON to OFF.

2. SREEN GRABBING without the use of an application

Take a Screenshot with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) If you're using Android 4.0 or later, this is easy. Just press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time. You'll see an animation on the screen, indicating that the screen photo was saved

3. Enable Developer Mode Ok, this is one of the more widely known tricks, but it’s important nonetheless, so we are going to include it.

Navigate to Settings > About phone and tap on your phone’s build number seven times. You’ll get an onscreen countdown, eventually followed by a message saying “Congratulations, you are now a developer.

4. Priority Mode
This is probably one of the most underrated and underused features on the entire operating system.
In short, it allows you to put your phone into quiet mode, but still allow some “noises” to get through. This could be calls, texts, or WhatsApps from specific contacts, notifications from certain apps, or important alerts such as alarms.
To set it up, go to Settings > Sound & Notification > Do not disturb, then select the options that you require.
It can be quickly toggled on and off from the Quick Settings menu.

5. Smart Lock, is by far, by our opinion one of the most amazing feats. android has to offer.
It removes the need to use a keypad lock when you’re at home or in another “trusted” environment.

It can use GPS, certain networks, your face, or even your voice to prevent your phone from locking itself, making for a much faster and hassle-free experience.
Head to Settings > Security > Smart lock to set it up.

with these few tips, we hope we have been a little bit successful to surprise you and give you a little bit more of satisfaction from your android device

8 REASONS WHY INVESTING IN AN EXPENSIVE PHONE ISNT A BAD IDEA

8 REASONS WHY INVESTING IN AN EXPENSIVE PHONE ISNT A BAD IDEA

Its 2016, economic crunch and all, process are sky rocketing, there is a dollar crisis, and the laws of demand and supply are beginning to go against every rule in the book. It has begun to get to the extent where people are forced to look inwards and ask themselves the question, what I really need this and this for. At first instance this article was supposed to be an insight into how budget phones are a good alterative but we kind of sat back and said hey, let’s be real here high end phones always win, however you look at it, they spend a longer time in fashion, they do the most work, they last longer and most of the time they are highly upgradable. Now here is a well worked upon list of 10 reasons why we think so here at #AbsoleTechBlog that your money is worth more investing in that high end phone.

1)      Social status; well there is reason why they call it, ‘’handset, it’s always going to be in your hands, and hello, everyone is going to  see it, I mean, hey, it’s right there in your hands, your most obvious appendage. I hate to be the one to break it down for you, but we are a social class people and we will judge you by what you use. At social events, parties, get together everyone is going to judge your social status by that one thing, yes, I am sorry, not my fault, they are going to judge you by what handset you use.

2)      Quality; cheap always means lower quality, argue from now until tomorrow, only cheap people will say different. low budget phone companies always find the cheapest way to break even, they use the cheapest processors, cheapest cameras, cheapest kind of batteries, and off course cheapest kinds of screens, I mean, how else did you think that they were going to be able to come up with a phone under 30k, brand new, and not to forget accessories, nothing is more annoying than opening a new phone plugging in the ear phones and listening to that terrible sound quality coming from those cheap head phones

3)      Longevity; flagship companies, worry a lot about reputation, hence the investment in durable material that can stand the test of time, scratch resistance, water resistant; like the Samsung galaxy s edge and a host of other flagships, we aren’t going to waste precious time here stating the obvious in the quality difference between the longevity standards of the high end flagships to the budget handsets.

4)      Cheap phones are getting complacent; the complacency and the boredom exhibited in these low budget phones can be heart wrenching, I mean you could pick 10 different low budget phones and there would be no major difference between them, you would think all the devices were made in the same factory, oh well, probably they were, just saying. This

5)      Performance; most of the low budget devices out there run on 1.3ghz processor speed or less, the clocking on this devices when put to test usually live up to their ratings’, but they are in no way as fast as their bigger colleagues in that line, I mean an iPhone 5 is also clocked at 1.3ghz but the speed is like comparing a turtle to a Chinese speed bullet train.

6)      Resell value; when it comes to the value of a device, you want to make sure after you get bored and want to upgrade you can still get good money in return for your device. At least for more than a year now, the iPhone 5s has maintained its second hand value at 65-70k in the market, there is no way that won’t go a long way for a 5s user who wants to upgrade to an iPhone 6 at 120k. It’s a good choice for upgrade and also a good opportunity to do so. Let’s not imagine what the buyers would tell you if you want to resell a low budget phone. Franky anyone who wants to go low budget would always consider either preowned phones or better still a brand new low budget phone for the time being.

7)      Update-ability; low budget phones re not updateable. End of story.

8)      Camera; the camera is my favorite part, most of the time everyone has a phone, has a story. There is never an opportunity to get a snapshot without flipping out your camera. Things happen and everyone wants to save the moment and whoever thought up the idea of putting a camera right in the middle of a phone had a great idea. From all the police brutality videos, to a dress crisis of BeyoncĂ© and Rihanna on the stage, every phone user’s fantasy is to be the one to upload that one viral video, and believe it or not nothing could be more hellish than thinking you got a good picture shot or video and playing back to relive it was crappy. Nothing in this world is as bad as a once in a life time opportunity picture and you check to look at how cool the selfie you had to risk your life to take was actually a blurry ufo picture, that phone will eat the dust. High end phones are usually designed to the maximum to have the best most efficient camera till date. From the iPhone 6splu to the Samsung s7edge

All that said and done I think although we just gave you a bunch of reasons not to go budget, but to be honest there is only 1 reason you go there in the first place is, well, BUDGET, so there is no reason to go down that path if your wallet can handle some real current generation flagship, which will be absolutely worth it once you are able to recover from your wallet surge. To put it clearly, an iPhone 6s a galaxy s7edge, Nexus 6P, will always outwork and outshine a cheap low budget handset.

To conclude, quite frankly the performable and features of some of the low budget phones are something to pause for a minute about, we still believe the choice is still absolutely yours. Each situation and circumstance is different and it’s still ultimately up to you to decide what’s best for your usage.

Fuss about iPhones

What makes an iPhone so spectacular, what's all the fuss about.  I mean look at it, its just a big piece of glass, with a metal or plastic covering, with a huge single body on it. I mean I would say, anyone looking at it for the first time would definitely be bored at first glance.

SOULESS. they may seem before the owner fills life into them.

The iPhone tends to give you what you want ONLY.
without boring you  or trying hard to impress
But then, This isn't just a piece of glass people jut happened to pay hundreds of thousand naira's on it, the apple phone in my opinion captures a very sensitive human side, it gives PRIVACY. As a matter of fact I believe that's where the ''i'' before the ''phone'' comes in.
Every icon takes you deeper into the soul of the iPhone.
I as in yourself, your personality, your own view, you own phone, your own privacy. So when you refer to the iPhone, you reefer to your phone and no one else's. it becomes truly private, a real extension of self.

From all your applications to your music, your videos to even your own special way of typing, the iPhone captures your private self and keeps it inside that box, and then no matter where you get stuck you can always press that single button that will always take you back home. The iPhone has earned its spot on #AbsoleTechBlog as the phone of the decade, surely our review o the device has been unparalleled, apple did a great job in every single department. for your money's worth, the iPhone is a device that will serve you for years without stress. So however you see it, take this as free consultation, apple all the way.
